Details of 2020 MVAC Exhibits at Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth’s office suite in Montgomery and Marshall County Probate Court
Timeframe - Six-month exhibit (June – December, 2020) Each artwork submission requires this info:
- Artwork name
- Artwork Medium
- Dimensions (including frame if framed)
- Artist Name
- Artist Contact info (email, phone, and town, and website, if any)
- If you wish to submit this artwork for the Marshall County Probate Court Exhibit, please make a note of that fact.
All artwork must be READY TO HANG – with wires, frames, etc. and be packed to be transported in an SUV.
- No size limitations since there are some large walls and some small (3-4’) walls.
- No medium limitations since we want to showcase a variety such as painting, photography, woodwork, metal, and fabric.
- No topic limitations although the staff has requested at least a few lake and mountain scenes.
Selections will be made by a committee of MVAC board members as well as the Lieutenant Governor’s staff to fit the various wall spaces and variety of mediums and topics.
Any artwork that has been selected for this exhibit in the past is not eligible.
Submissions: Please send a digital image (cell phone quality is fine) of each submission along with the details listed above to info@mvacarts.org by May 15, 2020.
If your artwork is selected, we will call you directly to arrange for you to drop the artwork at Mountain Valley Arts Council Gallery at 440 Gunter Avenue, Guntersville, AL by May 30th.
MVAC will deliver your artwork to Montgomery and install the exhibit; and in December, MVAC will retrieve the artwork and notify you when your artwork is at the MVAC Gallery for you to pick up. MVAC will insure the artwork for transportation and during the exhibit.
